I stay up making sure that the whelping box which is always in my office or bedroom is clean and dry after each puppy is born, and that the temperature stays constant 86 - 88 F in the room. We keep the temperature at this level for about 2 weeks, gradually reducing it down to normal F by the end of the third week. Someone is always present with the puppies during the first 5 days. I handle the puppies several times a day, as well as weigh them every other day during this period, to make sure that everyone looks and acts healthy, nurses well, and is gaining weight. I usually buy a dozen fluffy cotton towels, and use two at a time as bedding for the whelping box. I change these towels twice daily at this stage to make sure the puppies are always clean and dry. He was even talking about how he knew it was the last time he would breed one of his girls — that to me showed how he is not in this business to produce as many puppies as he can, but to treat these animals right while providing a quality product for his customers. After we got our dog Tim was always there to answer any questions we had about raising a dog and always gave great advice. We have recommended him to many friends of ours and plan on getting our next pup from him one day! I searched high and low for the perfect English Bulldog. I kept going back to Tims site…. .My bf and I drove Tim crazy for almost a year although Im percent sure Tim wont admit that…. Tim was awesome over the phone, helping us along the way. A week later, our healthy English bulldog was flown over to us in a brand new traveling crate, up to date on shots, food for the first week and a food menu to follow. We got home very late that night from the airport and Tim still picked up his phone right away when we called him with questions.
