You may have to help it for a little while, but eventually, your dog should start to bring its paws up and reach for the treat on its own. Now, you can gradually move the treats farther back and farther away to the left or right of the stair, depending on what side your dog is climbing from. By doing this, it makes your bulldog work harder and reach farther to obtain the treat. It will eventually have to start jumping or climbing to get it, helping it learn how to climb stairs. You can gradually decrease the amount on the staircase, making your dog go a couple of steps at a time before it receives its reward.
