As for his personality, he is definitely sweet and loving. Such a momma's boy. He can be a bit hard headed and stubborn, though. He likes to push the boundaries could be due to his age. Banjo is a bit dominant and likes to give our other dog, Dozer, a hard time sometimes. He likes to have all of the toys, bones, and food. Banjo howls when he's crated and he knows someone's there. Very vocal, barks a lot. Loves to run around in the backyard no matter how snowy or cold it is. He's very pawsy - meaning he likes to use his paws a lot. Like if he wants your attention, he'll paw at you or he likes to use his paws when playing with Dozer and often smacks him in the face. He also has this strange thing about trying to gnaw on Dozer's head? Banjo doesn't bite like he's trying to hurt Dozer, he just lightly chews for some reason. The American Kennel Club does not recognize this dog breed. Their temperament has been selectively bred to produce a dog with a soft and mellow personality. They are kind, loving and gentle towards family members and do well in homes with or without kids. The appearance of this pooch closely resembles a Pitbull dog. Bullies of this caliber are very desirable and the owners take pride in their life's work. Merle is a genetic pattern that can be in a dog's coat. In addition to altering base coat color, merle also modifies eye color and coloring on the nose and paw pads. The merle gene occasionally changes dark eyes to blue, or part of the eye to be colored blue. Responsible breeders who want to produce merle puppies mate a merle with a non-merle dog; and none will have the vision or hearing defects associated with double merle dogs. This can change at any time, so please check back at any time to see the current status. A tri carrier dog is a dog that doesn't show tan points, but can produce dogs that do. A great example of a tri-carrier dog is Triple Champion King Louii. King Louii is a lilac colored dog, and does not show any tri colors at all. But if King Louii is bred to a female that is tri, they can produce full tri-colored puppies. Tri Carrier means a dog has a single copy of the Tan Point trait heterozygous. CRD4 is an eye condition that originated with long-haired Dachshunds, and is very common within our breed. It is estimated that over half of our breed has at least 1 trait.
