Because of their popularity among breeders and dog lovers, it is not surprising that there are quite a ton of Golden Retriever mixes out there! And of course, how can we forget the lovely mix of Poodle and Golden in a Golden Doodle? It is not a surprise that they grow this big, as they take after the massive build of the Great Dane. These Golden Retriever mixes have short coats, unlike a purebred Golden. These pooches have a white coat with black spots like a Dalmatian but a longer coat length like a Golden. These pups are amazing watchdogs. They are very protective to their loved ones and will do anything to keep them happy and safe. Although they can live up to 13 years, some can be prone to hip dysplasia, which is typical among Goldens. Shedding can be an issue as both parents are notorious shedders. Do take note that these pups are very active. They need a big space to run around and exercise. But walking them should be fine, too, if you live in an apartment setting. While some crossbreeds tend to cost much more than their purebred counterparts, most will be on the cheaper end of the range. Fortunately, with crossbreeds, things get a bit easier.
