Olde English Bulldogge exercise requirements aren't too extensive, but these dogs still need some daily physical activity to keep their muscular bodies in shape, to ensure they don't become bored and in turn, destructive , and to avoid their gaining too much weight. But specifically how much exercise does an Olde English Bulldogge need each day? You can begin exercising an Olde English puppy at three months of age by taking it on short 5- to minute walks, then increasing the walks' length and frequency as the puppy grows. Some precautions to consider when exercising your OEB: first, puppies younger than nine months old shouldn't participate in activities that include a lot of jumping, running, and navigating of stairs, as doing so can injure their still-developing joints and bones. And regardless of age, the use of a leash is recommended when you and your OEB are in public. Though not aggressive, these dogs are extremely loyal and protective, and may be defensive or confrontational if you encounter unknown people or animals; a leash will help you control your OEB if such a situation arises. On the plus side, Olde English Bulldogges were developed to not have as many breathing issues as other Bulldog breeds, so they're not as brachycephalic unable to cool the air a dog breathes as other Bulldogs--which means they're not as susceptible to heat stroke. Still, OEBs don't handle extreme heat and cold very well, so it's best to exercise them in more moderate temperatures. They are also learning their doggie social skills and exploring their ranking status within their pack. Their curiosity is developing, as are their biting skills. Nipping behaviours begin as they practice biting behaviour with their mother and litter mates. At the weeks stage, they will have full use of all their senses and will be ready to go home to their new owners. Bringing your pup home usually between weeks is right in the middle of his socialization period. Therefore, it is vital that you introduce your puppy to as many new dogs, people, objects and surroundings as you can. BUT, make sure you do so in a controlled manner and never put your puppy in a dangerous situation where they can be injured, scared or contract disease. This is a great period to begin crate training, for a variety of reasons. Puppies are old enough to start getting used to being left alone to avoid separation anxiety from developing and are capable of being house-trained. Even though your home is likely puppy proofed, it also saves your possessions. During this phase of development, puppies are developing their reactions to things much more consistently. They are also likely to focus more on different types of people and should be friendly and approachable to strangers. The incident happened Monday at a motel in Daytona Beach, Fla. Deputies were called to the scene for a report of a woman who attacked a maid and threatened to jump off the second floor, police say. After a few knocks, she finally opened the door and emerged with a German Shepherd on a leash. Video shows the woman immediately picking up the dog, then tossing it over the railing without uttering a word to the deputies.
