Their owner passed away and the elderly spouse is unable to care for them adequately. They are petite dogs, weighing in the 10 lb. Rigby is actually under ten lbs. Both have been raised with grand children and are very gentle. They were regularly groomed once a month and were visited by a Golden Retriever. They are house trained and will sleep in a crate at night. They know the typical commands such as Sit and Down. They are good in the car. We want to keep the pair together as they are very bonded. Both are healthy except that Lucy has limited sight due to a history of dry eye. Odie, Roscoe, and Dolly are three puppies who were abandoned in a ditch in rural Louisiana. These pups are still young and playful. They are very inquisitive and were fostered on a farm. They love to run and play. Each will be so happy in their new forever home. She is good with cats and dogs and humans. Although she's four, she still plays like a puppy so may not be right for an older couple. A family with teens or a younger or more athletic adopter would be great. She is not one to sit home alone while you're at work. She would fit in great with a family and she's great with cats. He is a Very nice dog, playful and pretty laid back. He can pull on leash so will need someone strong and willing to leash and crate train. A fenced in yard would help. To help introduce your new family member to your home, here are some suggestions on how to house train your puppy. Breeders are listed below. By being vigilant and following these guidelines consistently, you will have your puppies going to a designated spot to do its business. Control your puppy's environment. Use a crate. The size should be comfortable for the puppy to turn around and settle but not too big or the puppy will use a corner to be a toilet. Using a crate teaches your puppy to hold their urge to do their business. Use an ex pen or gates to keep the puppy in a confined area. This will make it easier to observe your puppy's behaviour when it is going to do its business. Take your puppy outside after every nap, after eating, after playing inside, 30 minutes after drinking. Predictability in your puppy's schedule helps. Always take your puppy to the place you want them to potty on a leash. Once outside, don't interact with your puppy. Stand still and wait 3 minutes. If your puppy does its business quietly praise and wait another minute to prevent the possibility that they may go in and finish their business indoors. Take your puppy indoors after pottying. If your puppy doesn't do anything in the 3 minutes, take them back indoors into their crate. Try again in 15 minutes. Always do a bedding check to make sure it is dry. Initially some puppies will need their bedding removed if they continue to wet, until further into your housebreaking. Watch your puppy to see what it does just before it eliminates outside so that you become better at spotting the signs given indoors, so you know when to take them out. If your puppy is about to squat indoors, grab the leash and your puppy and run outside. If it is a poop push down on the tail until you can get outdoors. A puppy that has an accident close to the door is a good sign but if your puppy hides where they eliminate when idoors it means they are worried because of your past reactions. Go back to the above steps and get your observations and routines re-established. If you absolutely must use an indoor potty area, follow the same procedures but keep your potty trays in an ex pen in order to establish a defined area.

He is extremely obedient and a fast learner. Unfortunately, there was a sudden death in the family and Monty's foster carer needs to travel to look after the family and cannot take Monty along, so we have to move him ASAP! Since his previous owners did not keep him up to date with his vaccinations, we cannot book him into a boarding kennel. Here is what our foster carer has to say about Monty: Monty is a lovely boy. He likes to stay by your side and follow you around the house. He is inquisitive and curious. He likes to look out the window and watch the world go by. That said, he is just as happy to wait patiently on his mat, while you make dinner or sit at the desk. He loves a cuddle on the lounge but knows not to jump up without permission. He learns quickly what is ok and what is verboten! While the family is eating he knows to sit in his mat…. But of course does sneak to the table for a scrap or two. He walks really well. He can handle a jogging pace easily without being silly. He likes to join in with the grandchildren playing, but can be a bit too boisterous for the little ones. He enjoys fun games with the 10yr old, playing fetch. With me he loves to play chase and can get crazy with zoomies if you want to really work him up. Like most boxers he has a lot of energy and needs regular walks and play. He has not had one toilet accident inside. He makes himself known when he wants to go outside. With the rabies virus controlling them, they show no fear of anyone. It's possible they turned rabid after being left by their owners, forced to live on the streets of New York City, and possibly been bitten by a carrier who had the rabies virus. Personality[ ] Not much is known about the dogs' history but it's possible they use to be lovable mutts who were loyal to their owners until they were abandoned by them. As their life on the streets increased, the dogs grew more aggressive and fierce as they chase away any intruders, including humans away from their territory. Then, at some point in their life, they had been bitten by possibly other rabid dogs, or another carrier and became infected with rabies. The virus turned them into rabid, vicious animals who show no fear of man or animal, no matter what size. Appearance[ ] Monty, Jacques, and Raber first appeared after Samson , Bridget , Larry , and Nigel narrowly escaped from being crushed by the compacter of the Hoyt Sanitation Truck on Fifth Avenue after they scared the truck's driver. After the protagonists walk down the street looking for the Statue Of Liberty, the dogs appear behind the truck and Bridget comment that they should be fun for Samson. Instead of standing his ground, Samson tells Nigel to grab on to Bridget as Larry holds onto her back and they make a run for it. The animals find an alley, which also has a dead end and watch the dogs run past them, thinking they're scot free. Nigel even teases that they're stupid and that they could've taken them. However, that all changed when dogs finally found them and begin slowly approaching them, growling viciously and showing they're frothy, sharp teeth. Larry tries to improvise by barking back but his impersonating bark has no effect on the dogs who have better barks. Bridget isn't afraid and tells them that even if they got bark, Samson's got roar and tells Samson to show them. Samson tries to dig deep and be the lion but the sight of Monty frothing at the mouth took away his chance. The animals reach the dead end as the dogs slowly close in on them, then Samson spots the sewer gutter and tells Larry to coil, which he does and grabs on. Then, Samson pokes Bridget's rear which sends Larry up to a beam, allowing him to open the gutter. Samson tells Bridget to jump down, followed by Nigel, Samson himself, and Larry as the dogs start to run towards them. Larry gets stuck at the small opening of the gutter as Jacques and Raber run towards him, but manages to squeeze through just as the dogs stopped and continue barking as well as Monty squeezing his head through the opening, looking down. It's unknown what happened to the dogs after the protagonists escaped. It's possible they may have continued roaming through the New York City streets until being captured by animal control and taken to an Animal Quarantine Center where they were tested and possibly, euthanized. In summarizing the introduction he said he chose the two because they are guaranteed non-aggressive, well behaved and the owners as handlers know how to control them when they get out of hand. He chose them as he knew they will now how to introduce puppies to bigger more mature dogs by amongst others rolling the pups without showing any aggression. Also later he said to us Sophie and Monty are the two most sociable in their group and thanked us for raising them that way. Needless to say we felt rather somewhat very proud of our two.
