So, like a good Boy Scout, when you purchase a chocolate Labradoodle, be prepared for anything! All are lovely, but they are almost impossible to predict with any significant degree of accuracy. Once again, be prepared for anything! Chocolate Colors Now we get to the fun part; the color combinations! This is where things get interesting. Partis can come in any color, with either color nose. Some are mostly white, while some have lots of color and less white. The ones that are mostly white are called "Extreme" Partis. The variations are endless and unique, like a snowflake. The colors, such as chocolate, on a parti can change in the same ways that they would on a solid dog. Often confused with "Parti" is a dog with heavy white mismarks or a Tuxedo. White mismarks can be very small or very heavy, or anywhere in-between. The puppy is born either Black or Chocolate and immediately begins to lose the dark color, revealing anything from a cream to a red underneath! Caramel: Slightly darker than a cream Labradoodle, close to the color of caramel candy. These pups have rose colored nose pigment with a hint of honey along with hazel or amber eyes. Fortunately, it should be relatively clear early on whether the dog has a flatter brachycephalic muzzle or not. So, a Mastador can either be more social or more aloof around strangers. Proper obedience training is also a must, especially with such large dogs. Fortunately, both parent breeds respond well to training even if bullmastiffs are a bit more stubborn than labs. The good news is that this crossbreed is always good with kids. That is, as long as you keep in mind that large dog breeds have bad special awareness and can knock a baby accidentally. So, adequate supervision is still recommended. Another good thing is that the bullmastiff in your Mastador can be less prone to separation anxiety than a standard Labrador. While Labradors are highly energetic outdoorsy animals, bullmastiffs tend to be more chill and prefer to spend their days indoors. So, a Mastador can go either way here too. If your crossbreed pup takes from its lab parent it will need a couple of hours of active outdoor exercise each day. After that, it will also need some outside time in a well-fenced yard. However, if your pup is more mastiff-like, it will still need hours of outdoor time but it will be more chill about it. Either way, proper exercise is a must if you want your dog to grow up healthy and happy. As a crossbreed, the Mastador can either inherit all the healthy and beneficial physical traits of both its parent breeds or all the negative health predispositions of both. Or, usually — a bit of both. You want to always work with reputable breeders who go the extra mile to breed only healthy dogs. You should always ask for health certificates too. The biggest Bullmasadors weighing in at pounds need more food than most fully-grown men. At pounds, your Bullmasador will need approximately calories each day. This will reduce the total amount of food your dog eats, saving you money in the long run. Because of this, they need plenty of exercise. If you skimp out on the physical activity, you can expect your dog to become destructive, which can be seriously detrimental with a dog this size. This is also a great way to improve your bond with your dog. Remember, these are family-oriented animals and they want to spend as much time with you as possible. Aside from structured exercise like walks and playtime, your Bullmasador needs some space to run around and expel energy on their own. Instead, these dogs should be kept in houses with plenty of space and big yards for them to run around in. On the other hand, these are very large dogs that require a firm hand for training. They also need bathing more than most breeds; about once a week. Another thing to note with Bullmasadors is their ears. Once you finish cleaning them, make sure to dry them out thoroughly with a dry cloth to ensure that no moisture is left behind to become an ear infection. But on the other hand, mixed dogs are often healthier than their purebred parents. Such is the case for the Bullmasador. This breed is quite hardy and not at risk for quite as many health problems as its purebred parents. Minor Conditions Arthritis : Basically, arthritis is when the joints begin to degenerate, causing them to become inflamed. Like with dysplasia, arthritis is most common in larger breeds. Bullmasadors are less likely to develop arthritis than their Labrador Retriever parents who develop it commonly.
