At 5 weeks old, while the other pups were on mush and soaked food, he could barely walk, was gasping for air, ears were set extremely low and far back, eyes bulging. Hydrocephalus — cons to whelping When we took him for his follow up, the doctor diagnosed him with hydrocephalus, an underdeveloped respiratory system, and was in severe pain to say the least, among other things that were surly and unknowingly wrong.
