Breeding from such dogs, and from those with the greatest pelvic measurements, might be a reasonable approach and may be helpful in reducing the incidence of dystocia. Most purebred dog breeds have certain health concerns that are associated with breed. Boxer dogs are no exception. Because white Boxer dogs can have a higher susceptibility to deafness, ethical breeders do not use white Boxer dogs in their breeding stock. However, this does not mean Boxer parent dogs with other coat colors will not produce white Boxer puppies. However, I push through my discomfort and do cut up large bodies of venison each fall in order to stock my chest freezers for the year for my dogs. I am willing to do what ever it takes to offer a healthy life for my animals. I have always admired dilute Shepherds and have recently expanded our breeding lines to include the magnificent Blue Shepherd. One day I hope to also have Liver and Panda Shepherds too!
