Perfect for his desk. He is in 1st grade and had room for all his supplies! Still, I recommend it. The school doesn't provide them anywhere to keep things safe and a few kids in his class steal with little fear of punishment. I bought this with a number code so he can store valuables safely so far it can fit in 2 decks of Pokemon and he can lock them away. Only change I would make is a smaller case this one takes up alot of space in his back pack maybe deck of cards size with the same lock would be prefect. I know people playing Magic the gathering as i did as a kid or any collectable card game would welcome it. In saying that I was after another for my insulin pens and was waiting for the delivery. From the USA about 8 days so was surprised. Awesome piece of kit, buy one, yes it does not have a handle but fits all of your gubbins nicely and saves you about .Pockets to put your needles for testing, pocket for putting your insulin needles and there are holders for your insulin pens too. Just like the handle one, comes delivered from the USA and no handles, for the price a bargain. This fits the bill perfectly and keeps meds securely locked away from my children. It's lightweight, so adds minimal weight to what I need to carry, and about the size of a thick book. So not too bulky. And I don't have to worry about my sons getting into my meds anymore!! Not it's intended purpose I know but this fits my Korg Volca Modular synthesizer perfectly, and the net inside the lid is great for storing the patch cables!
